Team take on charity challenge for hospice

Eight men from Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) are preparing to take part in the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Springhill Hospice.

The hospice is RBH’s chosen charity for 2011 and the men will take part in the charity challenge on Saturday 30 July. 

The team is made up of Darren Barker, Gary Watts, Andrew Foster, John Schofield, Paul Helm, Mark Wrigley, Jonathan Pearson and Andrew Murphy

They aim to start at 7.00am in Fort William and climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon by 7.00am the following morning.

They will walk approximately 26 miles and climbing over 3,000 vertical metres.

The team are hoping to raise £7,500 for the hospice. So far they have raised £2,585.
