News of the World to close

The News of the World is to close. Sunday’s edition of the paper will be the last, staff have been told.
The news comes following allegations that the paper hacked into the phones of murdered school girl Milly Dowler and the families of victims from the 7/7 bombings.
The proceeds from the last edition of the paper will go to good causes.
The News of the World is the UK’s biggest selling paper. It has been in circulation for 168 years.
