Many thanks and welcome to all our Year 6 pupils who joined us this week, ready to start with us in September. We hope you had a great day and we look forward to seeing you ready to start following summer holidays. Please ensure that you read the letters and information you were given carefully and we ask parents to ensure that learners have the correct equipment and uniform. For more details or information please contact Mrs Rudkowskyj.
Videos of our recent ‘Tales From The Midnight Mangroves’ production will be available to all pupils for the price of £5.00. If you would like to purchase a copy, please see Mr DeCourcey in the CEPA office.
Pupils in Year 10 technical Theatre classes have been busy producing fantastic masks based around a production of ‘Wind in the Willows’. The learners are currently working on paper prototypes and will produce their final pieces shortly. Examples of their work can be found on our school website and we will host a small exhibition of their final pieces in September.
Drama Summer School forms should be returned to Mr DeCourcey or Mr Morley as soon as possible. Please ensure that pupils return the Data Protection forms and additional sheets too! Many thanks for your support.
On Sunday 3 July, four pupils from Falinge Park High School performed a dance piece in the Love My neighbour festival which was held at Broadfield Park Rochdale. The four pupils are: Andrew Cliffe, Elise Hill, Courtney Ashurst and Leah Topping. They performed a dance, choreographed by themselves and Jennifer Blackburn from Spiral Dance Company at Rochdale memorial Gardens. The dance reflected ‘neighbourly’ themes such as support, communication and teamwork. All the dancers were a credit to themselves, their families and the school.
Our Saturday Community Dance group: Hannah, Emily, Jake and isobele also performed an excellent dance piece at the festival led by Sophie Taylor. Well done to everybody.
