Healey Primary School
This will be the last School Newsletter for this academic year. School breaks up next Wednesday 13 July for the long summer holiday. The additional days were gained at Christmas and Easter, so pleased don’t be confused when other schools are in. If you have any outstanding accounts either dinner money, music or after school, please can these be settled before the children break up.
This has been a lovely year for Healey; we have done well in the SATs and all the children have done us proud with their assessments. As a school this year we have raise over £3,000 for charity – ranging from Francis House Children’s Hospice to The British Heart Foundation. The children have been on numerous trips – from a day at the ballet to an exceptionally wet afternoon in Healey Dell.
As this is the last week of term please can you remind your children to clear their belongings out of desks, cloakrooms and changing rooms. We do try to do this every holiday but the lost and abandoned articles of clothing and equipment seem to creep out from the smallest places. All equipment/uniform left will be laundered and given to charity.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception - Yasmin Doody
Year 1 - Sebastian Buckley
Year 2 - Madelynne Roberts
Year 3 - Liberty Davies
Year 4 - Lauren Banner
Year 5 - Tyler Talmage
Year 6 - Jenna Oldham
Best attendance was Year 3.
Next week the Year 5 and 6 play is being performed on Tuesday evening starting at 6.30pm. School then closes on Wednesday at the normal time of 3.15pm.
Thank you all for the help, support and encouragement you have continued to give us this year. Healey is a lovely school to be part of and much of this is down to you as parents and friends of the school.
The school reopens on Monday 5 September. Have a lovely summer break.
