Key Stage 3 reported a very brave student - Paige attended Manchester Childrens Hospital and as part of the photography project she was the first pupil to take home a camera to take photos of her weekend, one of the photographs included her in the waiting room! Thank you to all that sponsored Clare Davies in the Three Peaks Challenge she raised £520. The money will go towards buying some new equipment for our young people at Redwood.
Sixth form news – we waved goodbye to another group on residential last week. Julie and her form group 5F set off on their jolly hols to Moorland Home in Whitworth. The group had a fabulous time. They went bowling, swimming, visiting a park, visited Liverpool Albert Dock & Blackpool Zoo and finished with a ride on a steam train and a pub lunch. Wow what a week! We welcomed the new intake for September 2011 giving Students a taste of what life will be like for them. They had a great time, they had lunch and took part in activities such as: ice breaker and team games. We hope the students found this transition helpful and we look forward to seeing them all in September.
School Dinners—from September dinners will be £1.80 per day £9.00 per week prompt payment each Monday is appreciated—thank you.
Don’t forget Redwood closes on Tuesday 19 July for the summer holidays not Wednesday 20 July as published at the start of the academic year.
