Salon awarded for training investment

A Rochdale Hair Salon has received an award at a special ceremony where the commitment of employers working with Bury College was celebrated.

Gregory Couzens Hair Salon based on The Walk received an award for Commitment to Investing in Staff via Apprenticeships

Owner of the salon, Greg Couzens said: “Training is our lifeblood and something we take seriously.

“Bury College has a proven track record of exemplary standards and I am proud to be part of a creative winning team.”

Now in its third year, Bury College’s prestigious ‘Celebration of Employer Partnerships’ evening recognised over 70 companies for their dedication to training over the past year.

Lauran Chatburn CBE, Principal and Chief Executive Officer, Bury College Corporation said: “We were delighted to welcome so many employers we work with to celebrate their commitment to training and development and would like to thank them all for their support over the past year.”

Carrie McKenzie, Executive Director Development at Bury College said: “Our awards evening highlights the amazing work we do with local employers.”
