Motorcyclist loses fight for life

A Rochdale man who was injured in a collision in Keighley earlier this month has died.

The man, aged 47, who has not yet been named, died this morning (23 June), as a result of the injuries sustained from coming off his motorbike.

The incident happened on the A629 Silsden/Steeton Bypass at around 12.10pm on Saturday June 4.

It occurred after the man came off his white and blue GSXR 750cc bike and came to rest in the central reservation.

He had been heading towards Keighley after moving away from the roundabout at the junction with the A6034 Keighley Road.

West Yorkshire Police continue to investigate the incident and are appealing to witnesses to come forwards to try and determine what caused the crash.
