Rochdale has fewest speed cameras in Greater Manchester

Rochdale has the lowest number of speed cameras across Greater Manchester.

Information for the borough shows there are just eight speed cameras, compared with 26 in neighbouring Oldham and 11 in Bury.

The number of fixed speed cameras in each of the boroughs which make up Greater Manchester have been compiled on a new website aimed at sharing data in the area.
 
In total there are 240 fixed speed cameras.

The information on DataGM shows that Manchester has 51 cameras, followed by 29 in Stockport and 26 in Trafford.

The Rochdale cameras are situated in the following locations: 

  • Junction of Rochdale Road, Stanycliffe Lane 
  • Junction of Oldham Road, Townley Street
  • Junction of Albert Royds Street, Milnrow Road 
  • Albert Royds Street, North of Reservoir Streer
  • Albert Royds Street, North of Reservoir Street
  • A664 Rochdale Road
  • A58 Bolton Road
  • A58 Bury New Road, Heywood
