Date published: 15 June 2011

Three of Hopwood Hall College’s minibuses have been left damaged by a deliberate fire.

Fire-fighters from Heywood were called to the College’s Middleton Campus at 10.50pm last night (14 June).

On arrival they were faced with a fire involving three mini buses which were parked at the rear of the college grounds.

Two of the mini buses were left with substantial damage, whilst a third was left with minor damage.

Police are treating the fire as arson and an investigation has been launched.

A spokesperson for Hopwood Hall College said they were pleased nobody was hurt and they are waiting to hear back from the fire service with more information about the cause.
