New homes underway on business park
Date published: 14 June 2011
Preparation work has begun on the next phase of the multi-million pound Kingsway Business Park development, which will see the construction of 168 new one, two, three and four bedroom homes.
The houses, which will be built by David Wilson Homes North West, form part of the wider masterplan to create a Village hub on Kingsway, which also includes shops, offices and leisure facilities.
The site fronting Rochdale Canal is currently being levelled ready for the installation of services to the development.
A new road giving access to the site is also under construction. Scheduled to be complete by the end of August, the new road will link the housing with the existing northern loop road and will open up more land for development.
“We expect to make a start on the foundations of the new houses towards the end of the summer,” explained Steve Jackson, sales director, at David Wilson Homes North West.
“This marks an exciting new phase in the development of Kingsway and we’re looking forward to bringing a new dimension to the Park.”
Rochdale Development Agency Chief Executive John Hudson said: “Plans to provide quality family homes and local amenities will provide an additional incentive to companies looking to relocate to Kingsway Business Park.”
