Woman found seriously injured in street

A woman has been found seriously injured in a Rochdale side street.
Police were called to an alleyway between Yorkshire Street and Newgate by the ambulance service shortly before 5.30am this morning, Saturday 28 May 2011.
The woman, aged 20, was found injured on the ground in her nightdress.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to serious head and facial injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Detective Inspector Vicky Shaw, said: “Unusually this woman was in a night dress when she was found and I am certain someone will have seen her at some point.
“It is too early to say she whether or not she has been attacked as we simply do not know how she came to be injured and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw this woman at any point last night or might know what happened to her to come forward.”
