Elderly man treated following kitchen fire

A man was treated with oxygen therapy following a kitchen fire yesterday evening (23 May).
Two fire crews from Rochdale were called to Pennine View, East Street, Wardleworth, at 05.56pm following reports of a fire.
The fire involved a pan of food on a cooker which had been left unattended and resulted in smoke damage to the kitchen of the property.
The man was treated by the fire service but declined hospital treatment.
