Bands added to festival line up

More music acts set to appear at the Rochdale Feel Good Festival have been announced.

Folk pop quintet ‘Ellen and the Escapades’ and hotly tipped new indie band ‘Doyle and The Fourfathers’ will play the main stage on Saturday 3 September.

Five-piece ‘Ellen and the Escapades’ will make a welcome return to the main stage, after getting a fantastic reception last year. The winners of the 2010 Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition are rapidly becoming festival favourites across the country. Thanks to the captivating vocals of 22 year old Ellen Smith, the band has enjoyed a successful UK tour, with their influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac to Paulo Nutini.

‘Doyle and The Fourfathers,’ will be making the trip up from Southampton for their Rochdale debut. With a mix of classic British song writing, their combination of nostalgia and innovative sounds is receiving rave reviews. The boys have already made a very promising start to 2011, supporting ‘The Undertones’ and releasing their first album - ‘Man Made.’
