The six members of the ‘Creative Crew’ who are writing a weekly page about the Arts Feel Good festival in July are meeting regularly with poet Norman Warwick. The team are meeting very tight deadlines and are enjoying experiencing how journalists work and the pressure they are under. Don’t forget to read the team’s page every Saturday. Twenty boys joined Company Chameleon dancers in school for the day on Thursday 19 May. They experienced the rigors of rehearsals and preparation that professional dancers go through and they all enjoyed a challenging session.

All pupils going on the CEPA visit to Liverpool should have paid the whole amount for the visit by now. If anyone has not paid, please see Mr. DeCourcey. We will leave school at 8.30am and return at about 11.00pm. It is going to be a tiring, but very enjoyable day.

Year 10 Academic Reviews start during the week beginning 23 May and parents should receive a letter inviting them to attend the reviews.

The plans for the Year 11 Leavers Prom are well under way. Everybody should pay their deposit before they leave for the May half term and the remainder should be paid by Friday 24 June. It is going to be a great evening. There will be places available on a free coach that will transport pupils to and from the Village Hotel. If anyone would like to book a seat, please see Ms Gott before half term.

Please could Year 8 pupils ensure that all the consent forms are returned to school by 27 May for the Spanish Languages Taster Day visit to Manchester University next month.
