Council: Put your bin out as usual

No changes to bin collection service

This year the council’s bin collections will continue to take place on the same day as they have been for the past 12 months.

Normally around this time of year the council releases details of its new bin schedule, however the message this year is simply; “put your bin out as usual”.

Andy Shaw, Recycling Manager at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “Residents won’t be receiving a collection calendar as there have been no changes to the collection service. Therefore we ask residents to continue to put their waste out as normal.

“But if you would like to be reminded of the collection schedule please do get in touch with us and we can provide you with a 3-month bin collection calendar for free – just give us a call! Alternatively look up the schedule for your address online.”

For now, residents can view their bin collections at www.rochdale.gov.uk/bins or can request a free calendar by calling the council’s customer contact centre on 0845 226 1800.
