Badly Drawn Boy joins festival line up
Mercury Music Prize winner ‘Badly Drawn Boy’ is the latest addition to the Rochdale Feel Good Festival line up.
The multi-talented Mancunian musician (aka Damon Gough) will perform on the festivals main stage, on Saturday 3 September.
‘Badly Drawn Boy’ became an overnight sensation when his debut album ‘The Hour of the Bewilderbeast’ helped him scoop the coveted Mercury Music Prize.
His work since then, including the acclaimed soundtrack to the novel-turned-film ‘About A Boy’ has made him one of our most admired singer-songwriters. Best known for numerous classic tracks including ‘Something to talk about’, ‘Once around the block’, ‘Silent Sigh’, ‘You were right’ and ‘Born Again’ he’s already had 5 top 20 albums.
Badly Drawn Boy will join previously announced festival headliners ‘Fun Lovin’ Criminals,’ plus others still to be announced.
Event Organiser Debbie O’Brien said: “Badly Drawn Boy is an amazing artist, and I’m sure his set will be a memorable part of the Feel Good Festival.”
