All parents should have now received the NFER parent survey questionnaire, please could parents complete one for each child in school. Although this is a repeat of the questionnaire from last year, we REALLY value your opinions and the results form the basis of development work in school. All questionnaires need to be returned by the end of this half term – Friday 27 May and all returned surveys are put into a free prize draw for a £25 store voucher, kindly donated by the PTA.
The children from Year 3 onwards will also be completing a questionnaire, as they do this on-line and classes will we walking down to Rochdale CLC Years 5 and 6 next Monday and Years 3 and 4 the following Monday (23 May)
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception: Olivia Ellison
Year 1: Jessica Mara
Year 2: Hannah Khan
Year 3: Layla Barrett
Year 4: Aaron Limmer
Year 5: Harrison King
Year 6: Tobias Hayes
We have made a fantastic start to attendance this term too with two classes achieving 100% attendance in the first week: Brilliant effort Year 4 and Reception. Overall school attendance was a fab 98.4% too. Please continue with this fabulous effort.
We now have lots of ‘Bike It’ cycling log books – all children are eligible to collect inkstamps for travelling to school either: cycling, scooter, roller blades – in fact on any wheels other than cars. It is not necessary to do this every day, but children are able to collect ‘stamps’ leading to bronze, silver and gold badges. Children need to make 30 journeys for each level. The log books are with Mrs Taylor.
On Tuesday 17 Years 5 and 6 are visiting Eden Camp, Yorkshire. The trip will take all day and return will be subject to traffic although we plan to return at 4.30pm. On Wednesday evening Year 5 are performing their Choral Speaking contribution from the Music Festival at the Celebration Concert at The Riverside.
In view of this very short half term, music invoices will be combined together for one full charge for the whole term. The bills will be issued in due course.
We are still collecting TESCO vouchers.
