Elderly lady taken to hospital following fire

An elderly lady was taken to hospital following a fire at a property on Martindale Crescent, Langley, Middleton, last night (9 May).
Two fire-crews attended to a fire involving a chip pan which was out on arrival.
The lady, who was suffering from the effects of smoke, was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Crews from Heywood and Blackley attended.
