St Edwards C of E Primary School
Easter Bingo
Thank you to everyone who supported this event. We raised approximately £235.00 which will go back into school for the benefit of all children.
Cookery Club
Cookery Club will restart on Wednesday 18 May. The children who were doing cookery before Easter will continue on these sessions.
Choir and Recorder
There will be no Choir or Recorder Clubs until after the SATs next week.
Dance Club
Dance Club will start again on Monday 9 May after school.
Robinwood
Please make sure this trip is paid for as soon as possible. The total cost is £75. Thank you.
Dinner Money
Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are now £1.75 per day - £8.75 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning.
School Lunches
There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. Next week we will be on Week 3.
Music Lessons
Tuition fees are now £2.85 per lesson. Fees for this half term are £8.55 for brass and guitar and £5.70 for clarinet.
Castleton Children’s Centre
There will be NO ‘Stay and Play Session’ next Wednesday. It will restart again on Wednesday 18 May at 9.30am-10.30am.
Reception
This week the police and fire service have been into school to talk to the children.
Eco-Club
This begins on Wednesday after school for Years 4 & 5.
Spare outdoor clothing
If anyone has any spare wellies or waterproof clothing in good condition we would appreciate them for our eco-club. Thank you.
Friends/PTA Meeting
Our next PTA meeting will be on Monday 16 May at 6.30pm in the staffroom. Everyone welcome
Christian Aid
The School Council in conjunction with St. Martin’s Church are participating in Christian Aid Week between 15-21 May. Your child will learn more about Christian Aid and will be bringing home an envelope which please fill with any spare loose change.
We are also holding a coffee afternoon on Thursday 19 May 2.30-4.30pm in the Dining Hall.
Christian Aid exists to help those in need regardless of nationality, ethnicity or religion so please help us to raise some money towards this very worthy cause.
St. Martin’s Church
St Martins Church is pleased to announce that the Revd. Frances C Guite will be licensed and inducted to the Parish of St. Martins as Priest-in-charge on Monday 4th July 2011 at 7-30pm, details of the service will be announced later. Frances has been curate at Westleigh St Peters & St Pauls in the deanery of Leigh
and we look forward to her leadership in the ministry of the parish.
