MP challenged on supporting local traders

The former MP of Rochdale Paul Rowen has hit out at Simon Danczuk MP after it emerged his latest leaflet was printed out of town.

Rochdale Online reported last week that Mr Danczuk’s ‘Rochdale News’ was printed by a firm in Dorset.

Mr Rowen said: “All my election literature last year - colour leaflets and newspapers was printed in Rochdale by a local company.

“This year we have printed several colour leaflets including my main election address and again it has been printed by a Rochdale company.

“It is time that our MP stopped talking the talk and started walking the walk.”

Mr Danczuk had not responded to an invitation to comment at the time of publication.
