Last chance to have your say on latest savings
Date published: 04 May 2011
Rochdale Borough Council is reminding residents that there’s still time to have your say on where the Council can make savings.
The closing date for the current public consultation is 5.00pm on Wednesday 1 June.
The saving proposals are on the Council website here you can comment on the ideas, rate them individually and put forward your alternative suggestions or queries.
All feedback from residents, staff and trade unions will be considered before decisions are announced in late June.
You can view a printed copy of the proposals at any library, council customer service centre or township office. There you can make your comments in writing or online.
Executive Director Pam Smith said: “We need people’s views on what matters most, before the Council make these difficult decisions.
“Please take a look and tell us what you think of the proposals. We will have difficult decisions to make in balancing the budget and agreeing a sustainable financial plan for the next few years.
“I hope that people will let us know whether they agree with our priorities and the thinking behind our proposals, and also let us know if they have ideas of their own about how we can do things better and reduce our costs."
