Hundreds enjoy Royal Wedding street parties

Hundreds of people from across the borough have celebrated the Royal Wedding today (Friday 29 April 2011) with fun-filled street parties.
At least 14 parties have been held in Rochdale, Pennines, Middleton and Heywood.
Most of the parities kicked off around noon and continued into the evening.
Streets were decorated with flags and colourful bunting as the young and the old celebrated the royal nuptials.
We sent our photographer to parties in Sherbourne Drive, Heywood; Oulder Hill Drive, Rochdale; Home Drive, Middleton and Gorse Road, Milnrow (see photographs in the gallery opposite).
