The Women's League Service at 10.30 am on Sunday 1 May will be led by Rev Dr Ann Peart, who was installed as President of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches in April. Rev Peart's theme will be A Celebration of "Women's Work" in our Churches. We are pleased to welcome Ann to Rochdale. Following the service there will be a congregational lunch at The Castleton Hotel.

On Tuesday 3 May at 7.30 pm the minister, Rev Gillian Peel, and members of the congregation will attend the AGM of the Multi-Faith Partnership at Castlemere Community Centre. The AGM will be followed by a presentation from a group of young Muslims about their 'Unity Platform' initiative.

The monthly afternoon tea will take place at 4.30pm on Wednesday 4 May, and will be followed at 5.15pm by a meeting of the Stitch 'n' Chatter group. At 7.00pm, Leslie Norris will address a meeting of the Women's League on The pitfalls of public speaking.

There will be a modern sequence dance at 7.15pm on Saturday 7 May. The whist drive starts at 6.45pm (information from Eunice - 643319).

Morning service at 10.30am on Sunday 8 May will be led by the minister, Rev Gillian Peel.

A date for your diaries - the Phoenix Group buffet lunch will take place on Saturday 14 May. Please be seated for 11.45am. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £2.00 for children (information from Helen or Diane - 649015 or 371518).
