Kirsty Almeida brings festival flavour to Heywood

One of the country’s best new singer/songwriters will visit Heywood in August as part of the Feel Good Festival.

Kirsty Almeida, who wowed the crowd at last years festival, will be bringing her full live show to the Heywood Civic Centre complete with her seven piece band - The Troubadours.

Ms Almeida plays a circus-like mix of folk, soul, jazz and blues is widely tipped by the music press as one of the hot names to watch.

Entertainments Manager Graham Duckworth, from Link4Life, a partner in this year’s Feel Good Festival, said he is delighted to welcome the event back to Heywood, after hosting a warm up show in 2010: “This one is going to be extra special. Kirsty Almeida is one of the regions best up and coming artists and I know her live shows are spectacular.

“It’s going to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.”
