A man has been charged with raping a 16-year-old boy in Rochdale.
At 9.30pm on Friday 15 April 2011, police were called to a dirt track off Spring Mill Walk in Rochdale following reports a teenager had been raped.
A 28-year-old man was later charged with rape and was due before Rochdale Magistrates on Monday (18 April 2011).
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and particularly want to hear from anyone who saw a distressed white teenage in the Halifax Road or Springmill Walk areas between 9.00pm and 10.00pm that evening, who was possibly trying to flag cars down, to call Rochdale CID on 0161 856 4621 and ask for DC Deborah Jameson or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
