Pensioners’ jolly spring break

Fifty two members of the Rochdale Pensioners’ Association have enjoyed a five day break on the Isle of Wight.

The members, from across the borough, were treated to glorious weather for their stay and everyone was said to have enjoyed themselves.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We had three full days’ excursions on the island which included visits to Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Godshill, Osborne House and Alum Chine where some of our members rode the Chairlift over the cliff.”
