Rochdale Town Centre Business Awards 2010/11
The second award that the public can now vote for in this year’s Town Centre Business Awards is the Best National Retailer Award.
This award, which has been running since the start of the Rochdale Town Centre Business Awards in 2007, recognises and rewards our top performing chain stores.
To be involved, owners and managers of the Nationals had to fill in a detailed application form, fulfilling the following criteria:
- Understanding diversity of customers – from professionals to pensioners, students to tourists.
- Trading hours that reflect consumers’ needs and an explanation of how flexible you have been, giving examples.
- Retail businesses that can truly be described as having had an exceptional year - strong financial performance, product and store innovation and proven high customer service.
- Excellent brand values and clear evidence that the business has moved forward over the last 12 months.
Each person that votes will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 to spend in Rochdale town centre.
Lorenzo O’Reilly, Manager of The Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre said: “The Rochdale Exchange is at the very heart of Rochdale’s retail sector and the majority of our stores are occupied by national retailers.
"By sponsoring the Best National Retailer Award, we are pleased to be able to offer not only our encouragement and support to our retailers, but also to show our commitment to the future of Rochdale Town Centre.”
In addition to the public vote, mystery shoppers will also be visiting all the stores over the next few weeks and scoring them on various aspects of their service.
If you would like to vote, tell us why you think the National Retailer deserves to win, it is important that you indicate your reason for voting for that person, as the winners and runners-up will be chosen by judges for the best reasons given. The closing date for all votes for the Business Awards is Wednesday 27 April 2011. Please note that only one vote per person will be accepted.
