Pair arrested following robbery at betting shop

Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a betting shop in Rochdale.
At 8.00pm last night (Friday 1 April 2011), policed were called to Ladbrokes on the Pennine Precinct, Milnrow, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attended and discovered a man had stolen some cash after threatening staff with a gun.
Officers attended and two men, aged 39 and 40 were arrested a short time later.
A plastic gun was also recovered.
The men remain in police custody for questioning.
Inquiries are continuing.
