This week’s theme was Lent and our enterprise capability was personal responsibility. 

Congratulations to our Expressive Arts students who have made some wonderful 
achievements in the Rochdale Music Festival.

The results were as follows:

Choirs Year 9 and Under:
St. Cuthbert's Year 7&8 Choir - 1st Place, Highly Commended. 

Choirs year 13 & Under:
St Cuthbert's Musicals Ensemble - 1st Place Honours. 

Vocal Groups:
St. Cuthbert's Senior Vocal group: Honours. 

Vocal Soloists:
Leonie Richardson – Honours
Vicky Leeson – Honours
Thomas Shiels – Honours
Jessica Whieler- Highly Commended
Sarah Quinn -Highly Commended
Tom Boardman: Highly Commended
Zac Grenier - Commended. 

Pop Solo:
Lucy Kenny – Honours. 

Vocal Duets:
Zac Grenier and Leonie Richardson - 1st place Honours,
Jessica Whieler and Thomas Shiels – Honours,
Esther Wheetman and Thomas Shiels – Honours,
Tom Boardman and Heather Coleman – Highly Commended.

Folk Solo:
Lydia Thompson - Highly Commended.

Brass Solo:
Lucy Kenny - Highly Commended,
James Kenny - Highly Commended. 

Congratulations to Mr Lockett and form 7.5 who have raised substantial funds towards the Year 7 chosen Lenten charity of ‘Francis House’ by holding a fun run. The current running total for Francis House is £1,400. 

Attendance Challenge
This week’s winners were form 7.5 and Mr Lockett with a weekly attendance of 98 per cent.

‘You have to be in to win’ - Congratulations to Georgia Fielding, form 7.5. 

The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. We now have a group of parents following a computing course in school. If you would like to be a part of this, please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).
