Sixth Form College nominated for national award

Date published: 29 March 2011

Rochdale Sixth Form College is celebrating after being nominated for a national award at the prestigious Heist Awards.

The College has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Education Prospectus’ Category for their 2010 Prospectus, which broke away from the conventional design of a sixth form college prospectus and was a hit with A level students throughout the borough.

Julian Appleyard, Principal said: “This has been the first ever prospectus for the College and to be the only sixth form college in the country to make the short list makes us all extremely proud.

“Our designers Carbon Creative worked with us to design a prospectus that appealed to both prospective A level students and their parents. It was important that our prospectus portrayed the values and strong academic focus of the College and it looks like the judges have recognised that.”

The Heist Awards for education marketing are the premier awards for marketing in the education sector. Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the awards recognise and celebrate professionalism and innovation shown from the smallest regional college to global education brands.

Winners will be announced on Thursday 26 May at a Gala Dinner to be held at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.
