Police are appealing for information after an incident in Rochdale where a girl reported a man acting suspiciously.
At 9.40pm on Wednesday 23 March 2011, a 16-year-old girl was walking along Albert Royds Street, Rochdale, when a man in a silver car pulled up beside her and asked her to get in.
The girl refused, immediately went home and told her mother, who reported the incident to police.
Inquiries are ongoing.
The men were described as Asian, between 25 and 30 years old, of large build and with very short cropped hair.
Detective Inspector Chris Walker, based at Rochdale CID, said: "We can understand that parents in the community will be concerned to hear about this but they can be sure that we are taking this report seriously and doing everything possible to get to the bottom of this.
"If you have seen anything or know something that might be relevant to our inquiries, please contact us.
"Some things that people can consider to help keep themselves safe are: always let someone know where you are going to be and what time you will be back, arrange transport in advance of going out, if you are on foot - walk in a group and if you must walk alone, please keep to well-lit busy routes."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 4559, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
