Woman cut free from car following motorway collision

A woman was cut free from a Mini Cooper following a collision with a HGV on the M62 Motorway earlier today (Thursday 17 March 2011).
The fire service was called to the incident, which happened at Junction 20, Rochdale at 03.29pm.
The woman was cut free from the car and is believed to have suffered from neck and spinal injuries.
Two fire crews from Heywood fire station attended.
At the time of publication, 05.20pm there were severe delays and queuing traffic for 12 miles. All lanes have been re-opened.
