Concert celebrates start of spring for charity

Date published: 16 March 2011

Children from a Rochdale primary school are celebrating the start of spring with an Easter charity concert at Manchester Cathedral.

The choir from Holy Family RC Primary School, in Great Gates Road, Kirkholt, is taking part in an Easter Sing-a-long in April along with choirs and music groups from across the region raising money for children’s charity, MedEquip4Kids.

MedEquip4Kids raises money to provide medical equipment for sick and injured babies, children and teenagers across the North West.

MedEquip4Kids’ fundraiser, Ms Rose Franks, said: “There is a real mixture of children and adult choirs, soloists and a dance group so the Easter Sing-a-long is going to be a great event which we hope will not only raise money, but also help spread the word about the vital work MedEquip4Kids fundraises for.”
