Healey Primary School
We are now at the end of our second of three weeks biking for The Big Pedal. Many thanks for supporting the school, we are in second place in our group and the efforts many parents are making is tremendous. The Big Pedal ends on 25th March.
The Music Festival is going well – the children are well prepared and are representing the school admirably.
Next week is very busy. There is a meeting for all the Robinwood parents and children on Monday at 5.00pm. The meeting will last for no more than an hour and it is essential that you attend if your child is taking part in this residential visit. On Tuesday afternoon Year 5 will be walking down to Falinge to take part in a Science lesson on rock salt. The children should be back in time for the end of school. On Wednesday morning the Choir are travelling to the Town Hall to take part in the Music Festival. As always parents are very welcome to come along and enjoy the performances. The final Music Festival group are the Brass players who will be performing at the Town Hall on Friday morning.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception Riley Greenwood
Year 1 Adam Butterworth
Year 2 Charlotte Ward
Year 3 Ethan Tattersall
Year 4 Alicia Darling
Year 5 The whole class! Honours and First Place in the Choral Speaking on Friday afternoon
Year 6 Declan Trevillion
For the 5th consecutive week a class with 100% attendance – this time Year 5. We have a super friendly rivalry between Year 2 and Year 5! Overall school attendance also remains over 98%, a fabulous effort, well done to everyone.
Parents may have noticed that the school gates are being kept closed during the school day. If you have to open the gates to come in for any reason, please could you ensure the gates are closed as you leave.
