Fire-fighters tackle van blaze

Fire-fighters from Rochdale and Littleborough tackled a blaze involving a vehicle on the driveway of a house in Milnrow today (Monday 14 March 2011).

Fire crews were called to Tunshill Lane at 11.41am. On arrival they were faced with a fire involving a Mercedes van parked on the drive.

The 3.4 tonne van, parked outside a bungalow, was severely damaged.

The owner of the van was in attendance and it is understood that the fire started accidently.
