High street style hits Rochdale

Shoppers were greeted by what looked like mannequins - but were actually real life models
The Rochdale Exchange became the fashion capital of the North on Saturday (12 March 2011) with an explosion of style.
Shoppers were greeted by what looked like mannequins - but were actually real life models, dressed in clothes from the stores in Rochdale Exchange.
The centre was awash with stylists from all the major stores giving advice.
One professional stylist focused on what are the most complementary colour palettes for an individual and from there advice was given on the type of clothes that would suit their body shape.
Make up artists from Clinique and Elizabeth Arden were on hand to give expert knowledge on the latest foundations, blushers, mascaras.
As well as advice the make up artists were also performing free mini make overs to show how to put the advice into practice.
Following the mini makeovers there was a professional photographer on hand to capture their ‘High Street Style’.
The images have all been uploaded onto the Rochdale Exchange website and it is now up to the public to vote for their favourite look. Voting will end at midnight on Friday 18 March.
The winner will be awarded a family experience photo shoot and a gift image valued at £215, courtesy of Venture Photography. They will also be invited to model in the Rochdale Exchange fashion show in September.
