On Monday, Mrs Davis and Mrs Ahmed took 13 children and some parents to “Live Life” event at Rochdale Town Hall. The children had a great time looking around the exhibits and trying out some of the apparatus there designed to help you to get fit. They even used a bike to help them make a fruit smoothie.

On Tuesday the school council, together with Ms Burrow, Mrs Davis, were treated to a day out in Manchester as a reward for all their hard work so far this year. They took advantage of the free train and tram transport offered by Northern Rail Ambassador, Mrs Zainib Ahmed. The group got off the train at Manchester Victoria Station and were given a talk by Steve the stationmaster. From there they went on a tram to the Roman Ruins at Castlefield and on to the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. Hunger pangs started then so it was off to “Rice,” a restaurant on Deansgate. The children tasted international meals. Thank you school council, you were a joy to be with.
