Governor’s Meeting
The next Governor’s Meeting is on Monday 14 March 6.45pm.

The Big Pedal
St. Edward’s CE are taking part in this year’s Big Pedal between 7-25th March. This is a 15-stage virtual bike race along Sustrans’ National Cycle Network. We are competing against hundreds of schools around the UK and we need you to help us finish each stage as fast as possible by cycling to school during the race. We would like as many children and parents as possible to cycle to school during this period.

Red Nose Day
Friday 18 March is Red Nose Day. We have a limited number of red noses for sale in school for £1.
If you pay 50p you can come to school in your pyjamas or also have a ‘bad hair day’ – you must NOT wear make-up or use hair dye.
Red Nose biscuits and a red drink will be on sale for 50p.

St. Martin’s Church
There will be a Special Family Service at St Martins Church on Sunday March 20 at 10am. The service will be led by 'Puppet Power' with the theme
'I’ve Lost My Sheep'. There is a very warm welcome to everyone to come and enjoy this presentation for the whole family.

Dinner Money
Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are now £1.75 per day - £8.75 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning.

School Lunches
There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. Next week we are on Week 3.

Music Lessons
Music fees for this half term are now due - £16.50 (£2.75 per week). Please pay any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue.
The Music Service have informed us that any lessons cancelled through staff illness will be made up before the end of the Easter term and therefore will need to be paid for.

Castleton Children’s Centre
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9am-10.15am.

The Big Cookathon 5 April
This is a national event and St. Edward’s is the only school in Rochdale taking part. The idea is to get as many people cooking throughout the day. All the children will be cooking and we would like it if any parents could come in and help, ideally having at least one parent in each class. We will be making Leek and Potato Soup and various breads.

Reception need…
Reception would be most grateful for any donations of unwanted but complete games, jigsaws and building sets. We are also looking for unwanted dressing up outfits that our children can use in their play. If you have any of these things at home that are no longer played with, we promise they will be coming to a good new home.

Miss Pierce would like to thank all parents who collected ladybird tokens. We will now be able to get lots of free books for school.
