Attendance:
 
The winner of the attendance certificate for week ending 4 March 2011 was Peach class with an attendance of 99.2%. Well done Peach class. The overall attendance for the school was 96.8%.

Units 3 and 4 talking homework:
 
This week’s Talking Homework topic for Units Three and Four is: ‘Our roads are getting more and more crowded and traffic jams cause stress and pollution. What can we do about it?’

Spring Fair:

This Friday (11 March) we are collecting chocolate for our Spring Fair. Please leave these items in the boxes in the main entrance corridor. Thank you for your support. If you have any other unwanted items please bring them into school at any time – we are grateful for all donations.

Many thanks for all the donations of unwanted gifts and soft toys.

Clothing order:
 
If you wish to order any items of school clothing please place your orders in the class boxes before Thursday, 24 March 2011, an order will be placed after this date. Once the order has been received in school your child will be given a slip to say your clothing order has arrived and can be collected from the school office.

Breakfast pancakes:
 
Come and join other parents in making and eating pancakes on Tuesday 15 March, between 8.30am and 10.15am. The group meets in the room behind Playgroup every Tuesday for drinks, toast and a chat. Please see Bev Sharp in school for more information or just drop in!

Red Nose Day – 18 March:
 
To celebrate Red Nose Day on the 18 March the children will be able to wear something red. We will place collection buckets at the front of school for those who wish to donate. In the afternoon the children in Units 2, 3 and 4 will be able to take part in a Talent Competition which is being organised by our School Council. Please look out for a letter from the School Council which will tell you more about the show.

Cornet performance:
 
The Year 3 children in Green and Olive Classes have been learning to play the cornet. On Tuesday, 22 March at 1.30pm they will be performing for the whole school and parents are most welcome to attend.

Any old cameras or binoculars:
 
Please can Unit One have donations of old cameras and binoculars for a role play area. Thank you for your support.
