Big writing challenge
Focus for the week:
Over the past week, the children have been learning about ‘Proverbs’.
Next we will be looking at ‘collective nouns’ such as ‘a litter of cubs’

Building work The date for moving into the new Foundation stage is now Monday 21 March. Our Foundation stage will need to close for 2 days in preparation i.e. Thursday 17 and Friday 18 March i.e. the children in Nursery and Reception class.
On Monday 21 March you will be bringing the children into the new Foundation stage which is the former school hall.

Sacramental Programme
The children who are in the Sacramental programme should attend the 5.30pm Mass at St John’s church this afternoon, Saturday 12 March.

Admission 2011
Our capacity is increasing as well from an intake of 30 per year to an intake of 45 pupils per year. This will commence with our September intake 2011 meaning that we have capacity to take 45 children into Reception class from our current Nursery class as well as from other nursery settings.

Our ‘statement of belief’ for the week
This week’s statement of belief is ‘I try to appreciate the beauty and the wonder in the world around me’.

Parking and traffic issues
Parents and carers, please be aware of the parking restrictions in the area around school.

Children’s safety is of course paramount so please make use of the school crossing patrol where appropriate and make sure children are well supervised at all times.
Due to the on-going metro-link work, there are road closures in the immediate area of school. There is also a temporary one way system in the vicinity so please take care and have patience at all times!

Family holidays Thank you for only taking family holidays during school holiday time. No family holidays will be authorised during term time. If your child is off school at any time due to illness then please contact the school office first thing to let us know.
