St Patrick’s RC Church
Wednesday 9 March will be Ash Wednesday the first day of Lent. It is a day of fasting and abstinence. Abstinence from eating meat applies to all Catholics from the age of fifteen years. Fasting (generally speaking to eat less than usual) applies to all Catholics between 18 and 59 years. Others are, of course, encouraged to observe fasting if they are able to do so. Masses at: 9.30am and 7.30am in church and 11am at Alice Ingham School.

This year the Cafod Lent Fast Day will be on Friday 18 March. We welcome to St Patrick's tomorrow, Barry King, a volunteer representative from Cafod, will speak to us at both Masses.

Tickets are now on sale from the church and parish office for and Irish Night with Francis and Sean (our St Patrick's Day Celebration) on Saturday 19 March starting at 8pm in the Pennine Suite and school hall. Tickets: £5 each. Licensed Bar & Supper available. Telephone Karen 01706 645710.

Thursday 7 April: Our Lady of Grace, Prestwich.
All Masses will start at 7.30pm.

There will be Stations of the Cross every Sunday during Lent at 6.30pm starting on Sunday 13 March.

On the Wednesdays in Lent beginning on 16 March Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Lady Chapel at 12 noon.
