Police appeal after stolen credit card used in Milnrow

Police are appealing for information after a stolen credit card was used at a cash machine in Milnrow, Rochdale.

The card was stolen alongside a laptop, jewellery, and a number of designer watches from a house a farm on Cop Hill Side in Slaithwaite, Huddersfield between 10.15am on Friday 11 February and 12:30am on Saturday 12 February.

In all, over £9,000 worth of property was stolen during the burglary, with the Omega and Tissot watches being of great sentimental value to the 68-year old victim.

Police enquiries into the burglary are ongoing and officers have established that at half past midnight on the 12 February, someone tried to use the stolen credit card at a cash machine in the Milnrow.

Up to 5am that morning, there were further attempts to use the card in the centre of Manchester, as well as in Rochdale and Bury.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who has been offered any of the stolen items for sale, to contact PC 6776 Carolyne White at Dewsbury police station via 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
