Three rescued from fire

A man, a woman and a child were rescued by fire-fighters from a fire in a block of flats in Heywood last night (Friday 18 February 2011).
Three fire crews from Heywood and Bury attended Angel Meadows, St James Street, Heywood, following reports of a fire.
On arrival the crews were faced with a fire in the landing area of the flats.
The three people were rescued and treated by the ambulance service.
Two hose reels and six breathing apparatus’ were used by the fire service.
