Extended consultation for savings proposals

Several of the phase two savings proposals put forward by Rochdale Council were given extended consultation periods at a Budget Cabinet meeting held tonight (Thursday 10 February 2011).
The phase two proposals have been out for consultation for the last three months.
The following proposals have been given an extension for further consultation:
- Staffing structures and roles and responsibilities within the short term assessment and rehabilitation service provided by adult care – Full year saving of £282,000 – consultation extended until 25 February.
- The development of Springhill Resource Centre offering only day services, transfer of bed services from Springhill to Tudor Court and the relocation of Tudor Court administration staff – Full year saving of £103,00 – consultation extended until 25 February
- Restructure of care management and assessment in adult care – Full year saving of £60,000, consultation extended until 31 March.
- Review of working patterns within environmental management service – Full year saving £285,000 – consultation extended to 25 February.
