This week’s theme was Good Work and Charities. Our Enterprise capability was Risk.

We had our Year Five Enterprise Day on Wednesday, when we were joined by the Year 5 children from all of our feeder primary schools for a morning of Enterprise activities. Well done to everyone for all your fantastic efforts in being enterprising. The party boxes you made were wonderful.

Well done Mr McHale and form 7.10 with a weekly attendance figure of 99 per cent. Congratulations to Amelia Williams, form 7.2, this week’s Attendance Challenge Winner. Thank you to Form group 7.9 who presented Friday’s assembly with the theme "We are all different”.

Well done to our year 7 athletics team. The girls’ team took first place to become athletic champions and the boys’ team finished runners up. Both teams now go on to represent Manchester in the Regional indoor athletics tournament. Girls: Sophie Ullah, Sian Ollerhead, Sian Hall, Kayleigh Duckworth, Michelle Msvaire, Nathalie Mukambilwa, Patricia Diba. Boys: Alex Mellor, Enoch Otomaonga, Brian Ncube, Dominic McDonnell, Stephen Keown, Josh Knight, Alende Amisi, Beni Demakoso, Callum Dowd.

Congratulations also to the year 7 girls’ basketball team, who are now the Year 7 Greater Manchester Catholic Cup champions: Roisin Weldon, Sophie Ullah, Shaunna Higney, Emily Carter, Jessye Dawson, Patricia Diba, Lindsay Mitti, Nathalie Mukambilua, Anna Skinner.

The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. Please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).
