Man dies in M62 collision

A 21-year-old man has died in a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the M62.
At about 3.25pm yesterday (Saturday 5 February 2011), a Renault Clio collided with a lamppost on the slip road at junction 20, Rochdale.
The 21-year-old driver suffered multiple injuries in the collision and was he was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has now been formally identified as Dominic Stuart Begg, of Breightmet, Bolton.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The slip road and main carriageway at junction 20 were closed while emergency services dealt with the scene and we reopened at about 10pm that night.
