Police sergeant charged with rape

A Police officer has been charged with the reported rape of a woman at a house in Rochdale, last August.
36-year-old Sergeant Peter Jee has been charged with rape and misconduct in public office.
Sergeant Jee was bailed by Salford Magistrates' Court to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 17 February.
Sergeant Jee resigned from Greater Manchester Police two weeks ago (Friday 14 January).
The officer has been charged following an investigation by GMP's Professional Standards Branch, managed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
