Please ensure that if you would like to purchase a Pantomime DVD then please return your reply slip to Mr. DeCourcey as soon as possible, and no later than the end of January. Copies will be issued to those who requested them before half term.

We welcome the Infirmary Players into school next week as they begin their rehearsals for their annual pantomime.

A reminder that Year 11 Parents Evening will be held on Tuesday 15th February in the hall. This will be an opportunity for parents to talk to subject teachers about their child’s work and progress. Letters have already been sent home and parents have been given the opportunity to arrange appointments with the teachers they wish to see. Teachers have also indicated which parents they would particularly like to see. If you are unable to attend but would like to see some teachers please contact school to arrange a date and time with the individual teachers.

Letters are available to see 'Goodnight Mr Tom' at The Lowry, Salford Quays on Thursday 17th of February 2010 from 5.30pm until 10.00pm. Places are issued on a 'first come, first served' basis and the theatre visit is open to all years. Letters and further details are available from Mr De Courcey.

Tickets for our forthcoming Multicultural Show are now available from Zainab, Ansa, Parinita and Beenish in year 9 or from the CEPA Office. Many thanks to all the pupils who auiditioned for us this week. The composition of the final show looks exciting and impressive. Well done to everyone involved.

Many thanks to Peshkar Theatre Company who visited Year 9 Music pupils this week to help create a soundtrack to a Global Warming video. Pupils utilised a range of traditional and electronic instruments in order to create a rich and dynamic piece through a series of workshops. Congratulations to all the pupils involved in the project.

We welcome M6 Theatre Company into school this week as Year 10 BTEC Drama students watch a series of monologues as part of their current coursework piece. Many thanks to M6 Theatre Company for what promises to be an exciting event.

Year 11 BTEC Performing Arts (Drama) Students should now have completed their Sherlock Holmes assessed performances and should be in the process of completing any outstanding work. If you need help and have work outstanding, please see Mr De Courcey or Ms Gott as soon as possible. Remember that a deadline looms!

The trailer for our Multicultural Show is now available to view on a school website. Please refer to it if you need a reminder of the times and dates.
