Healey Foundation Primary School

Next week we are beginning to focus on promoting more sustainable travel to school. Chris Taylor will be coming in to work with Years 5 and 6 on planning a commercial to send out the message of walking and cycling to school. The two days will be followed up by a non uniform day on Friday (4th February) where children are being asked to come to school in the brightest possible clothing. There will be a Fashion Show of the brightest pupils on Friday afternoon in the Achievement Assembly.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday.

Reception Terence Henry
Year 1 Jacob Lovett
Year 2 Kayleigh Mills
Year 3 Lauren McHale
Year 4 William Lovett
Year 5 Christopher Hoyle
Year 6 Luke Jenkinson

Best attendance is Year 3, although overall school attendance continues to be lower than usual.

We are very proud of our School Council who spent the afternoon at Caldershaw School conducting a peer assessment of the school council. On Monday night last the athletics team represented Healey very well at the inter schools athletics meet at Kingsway Park High School. We don’t yet know the outcome but the children performed brilliantly. Many thanks to the parents who came along to help and support.

Last week Francis House contacted us to congratulate the children and parents for the Christmas Beanie Purse Appeal. You managed to raise a staggering £535 for this fantastic cause.
