Parachute jump
Ever wanted to do something exciting? Always wanted to be as daring as Jackie Chan? Or maybe you thought about doing something cool that you’d find in an action movie? Well, now is your chance to fulfill those fantasies- Springhill Hospice is looking for daring, courageous volunteers to do a fundraising parachute jump.
The Hospice has teamed up with international event specialists Skyline, following the incredible success of their last joint event, and they have 10 places reserved within the famous Black Nights Parachute Team.
For those who fancy having a go at being Superman for a day, on offer is a ‘Tandem Skydive’ from 10,000 feet. Attached to a professional instructor, you will endure a free-fall, traveling at 120mph.
The jump will take place at Lancaster Airfield in May (Saturday 21 May 2011). No experience is necessary, all training is given.
The minimum amount of money needed to raise in order to take part in the parachute jump for free is £395, and now everyone can raise funds online by using: http://www.everydayhero.co.uk/
